alhamdulillah...Allah has helped me a lot...really thanking him for the smooth journey he had prepared for me so far. I never could imagine if i were to stand and face the vice versa journey. had been though, but never want to face it again.
i guess i'm back to school. i am so excited! coz i'm sort of missing the school days especially the uni days..i miss the theatrical works with frens...not sleeping the whole week in making our program a success...then, missing the nights in colleges as well..never sleep early n squatting nearly the whole semester....had been in 'suka duka' together...had my era of scooter n my lovely bee-kelisa car...oh my.....missing that sooo much!
but one thing that i'm afraid of...juggling both work n study at the same time. i always claim myself not to be a good multi-tasking person but all this while, i am multi-tasking things...a lot!
hahaha...i am so in denials. ^_^
still remember when i had the interview for this application. i was the first person to be called- lucky number 1 i guess...huhuhu... Initially, i thought there was like more than 1 interviewer. but then, it was only 1 person- a woman indeed. i could say that my interview session was not really an interview session but rather a sharing discussion slot between educaters (cheewaahh). ahahhaa... so damn poyo okay!! i can't believe myself in that position. but honestly, it was indeed a mature q&a session between me and the interviewer. now i can see the relevancies of having experiences in the field we are in to our judgement/maturity/openess and etc. for me, i should thank my current position coz without 'who i am now', i might not be able to handle myself well in the interview. you would somehow rather assuming things/conditions than knowing it truthfully. ok, lemme give an example. let say that u r going for a job interview. u would be asked questions like: "what if your students did this n that...and how would you tackle the situation?" So, for the new-comers, they would certainly assume that they could do this n that and etc. but for the person who had the experiences in handling the situation would definitely answer the question more practical and sounds believing. but then, it's ok. small matter lah tu! after all, siapa-siapa yang ada experiences akan memulakan hidup dia tanpa sekelumit experiences pun. that is why we said that experiences are a good reality teacher.
so insyaallah, my school life begins in december. wish me lucks and lucks...

~ GO ASTERN -> GOSTAN ~ ^_^
GOSTAN:
"ko tolong gostan skit kete ko. aku nak parking motor aku kat depan kete ko".
Arakian, setelah disimpulkan, inilah hasilnya :-
GO ASTERN -> GO ES TEN -> GO STEN -> GO STAN -> GOSTAN
p/s 2: ASTERN means behind the boat (bahagian belakang kapal). {kalau yang bahagian depan tempat Leonardo D'Caprio n Kate Winslet dalam citer Titanic tu, kita panggil BOW.
"ko tolong gostan skit kete ko. aku nak parking motor aku kat depan kete ko".
(",) You might be using the word rarely though. this is because this word is more often used by the previous (old) generation. Ini perkataan zaman parents kita dulu. And I doubt if young teenagers nowadays have ever used or even heard it before.
But before that, tahukah anda apakah maksudnya? Maksudnya - REVERSE. So, in the context above, it means "reverse your car".
GO mungkin means pergi... but STAN???
Nakhoda tersebut berkata : "GO ASTERN".
Arakian, setelah disimpulkan, inilah hasilnya :-

go with or against the flow?
it is really near to the end of the year 2009. gosh...time flies like a lightning. but then, we are still here-at the same spot. ok ok...not 'we' but ME. my life does not change any little bit since ages i think. even though we have another month, i already have had my new resolutions in my mind which i will try my hard to make it realize, because it is very essential in making changes in my life. i really need to do this for the people i love-my family and especially my beloved mom.
kadang-kadang bila fikir what specifically that i need to do, aku sendiri pun tak tau nak jawab apa. tapi i sincerely feel missing...something is missing in my life at this stage...but please bare in mind that it has nuthing to do with kahwin...yeah rite.. =D

i also am worried with unforseen future...memang kita akan kata just go with the flow with our lives but then at certain extend, we have to set a so-called goal a.k.a hala tujuan. one thing that i realized about me myself is i like to go with the flow. aku tak pernah nak set anything in my life. cuma ada satu moment jek yang aku pernah buat keputusan mengikut kata hatiku sendiri kerana aku fikirkan bakal masa depan aku which was just right after my pmr results came out. i decided and be firm with my decision that i did not want to go to science stream but instead to art stream. reason? because i am so lazy to study hard for my spm. believe it or not? u have to coz it is the true story and had had happened. hehehhe (",) and i am happy with that decision till now and i never regret it.
being now in my position and state, my life is full of going with the flows.... tapi sekarang aku dah buhsan dah. i want something in my life, something promising and something that makes me happy to be in it. i am and do happy with my life now, though. no doubt! kita merancang and allah s.w.t yang akan menentukan. tapi tak salah kot kalau kita cuba untuk mendapatkan apa yang kita mahu untuk kehidupan kita yang lebih bermakna. kadang-kadang, manusia tuh suka sangat merancang sesuatu perkara where that individual has had things, so many things in his/her mind for his/her future. tapi, tak semua perkara yang dia rancang itu menjadi realiti. dan mulalah manusia tu kesal dan kecewa. and that is the moment where takdir takes place.

kalau tiada angin, masakan pokok bergoyang
i just came back to work from a very long 'holidays'. one week for cuti raya and another week for cuti sakit. i missed the whole one week with my students which i regreted so much. they'll be having their real sace exam end of this month to early of the next month. so much to be revised and so much to be motivated. that's one thing.
another thing is, when i came to work yesterday, colleagues and students had been asking the same questions - "how r you?", "miss sihat?" etc.. Some of them have been asking such question because they knew my condition and some of them who didn't knew my condition, had uttered the question because of my physical appearance. i looked tired and of course not as happy as i always am. it is just tooo awkward when people asked me - "farrah sihat?" and i answered - "tak sihat". if i were to say "farrah sihat", sure they will ask further question blablabla...and i also did received a very first greeting from a clerk in the office where i did punch my card with "selamat kembali farrah"...hahahaha...sekurang-kurangnya aku pergi dan masih kembali and not vice versa....nauzubillah....
so, the moral of the story is rasa macam loser jek bila kita sakit and orang tanya kita sihat ke tak. at one point, soalan tu agak berbunyi bodoh (tapi takleh nak salahkan orang tuh sbb dia tak tau). and perasaan yg tak dapat digambarkan bila kita nak jawab yang kita sebenarnya tak sihat. baru aku tahu perasaan dua manusia itu. dalam kes ni, aku lah orang yang bodoh yang menanyakan soalan "kau/awak sihat tak?" bengap tul farrah nih %$%(^#@(*

durian oh durian...
I have just came back from rapporteuring..it's been a fruitful and excellent 4 days attending the 17th Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers (17CCEM) at KLCC. It was once in a lifetime experience whereby this conference is held once in a three years. Malaysia is the 17th commonwealth contry who had been given the chance to host such prestige conference. So, I wonder when would be the next chance that Malaysia will get to host CCEM. There were so many happenings that I would like to share with whomever reads the entry, but I guess I'll have it written when I am totally free.
However, this particular happening is the one that will be most remembered by most of ours the rapporteurs. We were having lunch today and fortunately we sat at the same table with the Vice Chancellor of one of the university in Tanzania and one woman who is actually has a high position in the Commonwealth organization. From all the topics that we could discussed on (most probably education), we actually did have a chat about DURIAN. Yes, the king of the fruit in Malaysia. Not surprisingly, the european people would have the perception and opinion that they really can't stand the smell of durian. My colleague-MUN shared with us that she watched a program about this guy who actually travels around the world looking for the weird food such as an exotic food. However, durian was told to be the weird food in the world. And it is all because of the smell.
So, this woman and my german colleague are the two ladies who cannot stand the smell of durian. And because of the smell, they do not get the chance or I could say they do not want to take the chance to actually taste durian for real. The smell is actually the reason for this kind of people to not wanting to have a taste of durian.
I never knew in Tanzania there is durian. And surprisingly they also called it durian. It sounds weird though but after all it is a fact. So, this VC from tanzania said that he had to hide from his wife if he ever wants to eat durian. Coz his wife doesn't like the smell of it. But this VC is really enjoying the food and its taste. At the same time, this european lady and a german colleague of mine have been wondering how this Tanzanian enjoyed his fond of durian so much in spite of the 'wonderful' smell. Both of them just couldn't accept it. This topic or issue raised is then brought us to a professional chat. Moreover, our three UM colleagues who are also rapportuers are actually scientists. And one of them is so-called master of science in plants. So, he basically knows everything about durian. Of coz scientifically. He was saying that durian has 20 types which I don't really know about it. And the best type of durian is D24 which is the most expensive of all. However, he also said that it is not easy to find the 'real' D24 type because of it limitedness and also difficult to find. The real D24 is usually being exported to abroad because of its quality. (only the best will be sent away, anyhow) hhmmm...
There was one part that actually attracted me. We were explaining and informing both european lady and german colleague of mine that durian has been commercialized. We now have ice-cream with durian flavour, durian jam , dodol durian and lots more. Both of them were actually shocked that we can have these kinds of food in durian flavour. Suddenly, the Tanzanian VC interrupted our chat and said that it never happens that somebody who actually has the courage to taste durian with his/her perception of the bad smell that durian has, will eventually says it tastes terrible. Everyone who tried despite the negative connotation will find it tasty and the tendency for them to eat durian in the future is getting high. The taste will somehow exceeds the smell. And that is for sure! hahahaha...ye ker? (",)
And how irony life is. The moment i stepped into my house back from the conference, I smelt durian. I thought that I am already cursed with it but actually my mum had just bought the durian. huhuhuhuhuhu...On top of all, I enjoyed my experiences of a 4-day conference.

COOL PLACE TO CHECK OUT!

Few days ago, me, bb, khom n thiiah went to NZX sumwhere in PJ to have our 'so-called' lunch. Why 'so-called' lunch? Coz at that time, it was already 4pm nearly to 5pm. After all, we all tak peduli dah...coz sgt lapar n we didn't have our lunch yet. So, that day's lunch location was at NZX at Ara Damansara. Nama restaurant tu ialah FULLHOUSE. Concept restaurant tu ala2 Korean coz sama lah ngan citer korean yg Fullhouse tuh. Location restaurant tu agak terpencil coz NZX tu tak terkenal sgt lagi area tuh.
FOOD REVIEW: Makanan kat situ sedap n affordable. The quantity justifies the taste. Tak yah ckp pjg2 la..memang sedap n satisfied.
ENVIRONMENT: Peaceful, so purely divine (hahaha - suci daa) coz everything in white...Suitable for family and of coz very romantic for couples n partners... Sangat suci! (",)
So, just view the photos coz we were totally tiba2 jadi cam giler camera n giler bergmbr. So, if u guys ada peluang, do visit n try the food there - guarantee best!
And lupa nak beritahu, it's not just a cafe/restaurant, but ada gak sell various things yang cool n cun. As a result, me n thiiah dah ter'shop' skit kat situ..Agak bahaya untuk kaum perempuan la yek.. hehehe...

S.E.J.A.R.A.H
hari ini sejarah telah terlakar!
saya telah ke kerja dengan tidak memandu. what a progress! i am so happy sitting on a passenger's seat and actually really enjoying the view of morning traffic sekitar klang and shah alam. when i was in the driver's seat..it was like a feeling to vomit to look at the traffic view.. even though i was seating in the passenger's seat..di dlm hatiku masih memanjatkan doa-doa yang perlu..hehehe..ye la..cuak gak ngan cik khom ni..first time drive pagi2 gi keje. by the way, khom is my besfren and she just has the guts to drive to school (UiTM). all this while, she only depended on her younger sis even she had actually passed her driving license. so, the new progress now is...since her younger sis had just married last weekend, she HAS to drive coz basically the sis will be staying with the in laws at shah alam. and selama ini lah i kena jadi guru memandu yang tidak bertauliah.huuhuhu...
basically, this morning has started with few complications. the first thing happened was when at 6.45am, i drove to cik khom's house and cik khom drove to my house. COMPLICATION: i misunderstood our discussion yesterday which said that cik khom is supposed and gonna drive to work this morning. tak pasal2 i patah balik to my home and park my car..then headed to work..my mum dah geleng2 kapla dah..hehhe...
but then, journey kitorg berjalan dengan lancar di mana hanya ada satu jek bunyi hon yang ditujukan kepada cik khom..hehehe...what an achievement! tapi yang sedihnye, i dah tak leh nak ejek dia dah..selama ni i selalu kutuk dia dengan mengatakan yang dia ini tidak akan boleh drive ke mana2 apa tah lagi membawa i ke keje. maka, hari ini cik khom telah membuktikan bahawa CIK KHOM BOLEH!!! Syabas mera beti! (",)
p/s: dah tak besh..tak leh ejek cik khom lagi..ishk..ishk..ishk...dah tak leh kejam dah...huhuhuhu.. :-(

~pengalaman yang baru di tahun yang baru~
Today is the first day I enter my Malay Studies class. I could say it was 'quite' horrible. The students were all fine n fun. Eh, lupa nak inform u guys. I am actually been offered and so-called instructed to teach commerce students a different code from my so-called expertise which is English (at least that was what my degree is). So, nak dibuat citer..I kena mengajar subject 'malay studies' ni sbb the lecturer who is supposed to teach this code is taking a leave to finish up her PHD. So, I lah yang menjadi pengganti dia together with another colleague.
One thing to share is I tak tau la plak yang students kita boleh amik this subject and at the same time, subject ni wujud. Kalau diikutkan kefahaman I la kan...students commerce selalunya akan ambil this subject. For science students lak, kalau result physics diorg kureng, maka they will be advised to enrol themselves in this subject.
This subject according to the curriculum statement is Malay Background Speakers Level Stage 2 and here(malaysia) my class is named Malay Studies. Takdelah kelakar mana pun, cuma ada satu part in the curriculum statement is actually explaining that the students must know to use the grammar in their studies. It is stated there: "Students will already have a significant understanding of the function of grammar in Malay through prior knowledge or study." Masalahnye skang, I rasa statement tu macam sesuai jek jika ditujukan kepada I. Dan penyataan 'will already have' tu amatlah tidak sesuai.
I sebenarnya dah lama tinggalkan bahasa melayu yg sebenar. Yang I guna selama ni hanyalah Bahasa Melayu pasar. Tapi xpe..I am looking forward this opportunity in a very bright side which I would be gotten the chance to memperbaiki my true bahasa melayu. Meantioning about Bahasa Melayu, this code/subject however is not actually or 100% about the language itself. It is more towards like literature. You read novels, you watched certain movies, analyzing, evaluating, criticising and stuffs.
Soo..what had happened just now was..
I entered the class and began speaking Malay. MasyaAllah..berterabur BM I. Bila masa mengajar B.I, sibuk nak cakap melayu. Tp bila kena speak malay, sibuk lak nak cakap omputih. Maka, satu incident telah berlaku di mana I explain to the students that in a year, they have to read 4 novels. Sem ni kena baca 2 biji novel. Then I realized and wondered..and I began asking-"Guys, novel 2 biji ke 2 buah?" Hahahaha...saje kasik students I pakat gelak dgn soklan cepu emas I tu..(soalan ini bertujuan mencari jawapan yg betul tau..bukannya I tanya utk test students). Neway, xpe..sbb some of the students ex class I last sem..n the rest sure tau I camne..maklumlah I agak glamer dlm bidang ke'lagho'an bersama students nih.. After all, I found it to be a lil bit akward but xpe..I have another year insyaallah bersama diorg ni utk 2 sems. Tapi, I kena berguru ngan si ishan la..coz dia pun dah further masters in that field. Cuma..dia asyik ponteng class jek..ni yg risau nih..hmmm...Mcmne tok guru??
Apa-apa pun...Good Luck to myself! (",) Kawan2..sokongilah daku..
p/s: by the way, jwpn kepada soalan di atas adalah 2 buah novel.
